Broodles's (Red Back Spider) baby spiderlings!!
I can't believe it! It's so cool to see so many baby venomous spiders and what's better is you see them eat each other up!
I'm so tired...long day today. Fell asleep in the state library, train, Adelaide University Garden.
More macro pictures tomorrow!

you are scary....ha ha..
I'm not scary... Do you want them to eat you instead? Besides, there are too many Red Backs in Australia.
This is my chance to see real life natural selection. See who is the strongest :)
Sounds a bit cruel to me, they are siblings leh, aren't they?
Hehe :) It is cruel and yes, they are siblings..but the mother is worse - she eats her husband after mating...but that is their nature.. I am not sure if the mother will eat her spiderlings if they are together though.
they eat each other? even their friends? i mean, they should at least leave some friends in one piece... who they're gonna talk to after the meal?
Welcome back, beto! :)
I don't know how else to explain to you why they eat their own siblings up but to say, they inherited that from their mother? haha :)
I think it's just nature. Their challenge in life, perhaps. Battle Royale... haha.
